There are many ways to get involved with the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum! To volunteer at the Museum, please fill out the volunteer application and bring it to the Museum or email it to the Sharline, our director.

Special Events

Volunteer for one of the Special Events. A volunteer at these events might help with crafts, decoration, or help with the food area. Volunteers are also needed to help set up and take down the decorations that make the event special.

  • Brunch with Santa
  • Daddy-Daughter Dance
  • Mother-Son Event
  • Freda Mae Bridge Day

Educational Programs

Assistant Teachers are needed for the Third-Grade STEM and Weird Science Programs. Assistants in these programs can volunteer for as few as two times or many more. Registration and simple training is required. In both of the programs, elementary school groups rotate through three thirty-minute lessons.

General Operations

General volunteers are needed for the following:

  • Mend clothes from the dress-up area
  • Do small carpentry repairs throughout the museum
  • Reset the exhibit areas
  • Paint exhibit areas
