The Children’s Museum is currently accepting applications for a Floor Supervisor, Birthday Party Host, and Customer Service Representative. Please see below for more details and applications.
Tuesday-Friday
$12 per hour
Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional experience for our visitors. Manage the floor of the museum ensuring the play area is well for visitors.
• Greet and assist visitors entering the Museum
• Monitoring and straightening of Museum exhibits
• Assist in cleaning of Museum, including trash and “accidents”
• Enforce Museum rules and guidelines
• May be needed for crafts and craft preparation
Saturdays and Sundays
$12 to $20 per hour
Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional experience for our visitors during birthday parties and on Saturdays. A Birthday Party Host/Hostess’ attitude greatly effects how the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum as a whole is perceived. As Party Host/Hostess, you will oversee the smooth operation birthday parties, and general play at the Museum.
• Greet and assist visitors entering the Museum
• Assist birthday family with party set-up, including decorating
• Manage birthday party time schedule
• Regularly communicate with the birthday family throughout the party to ensure that everything is to their satisfaction

Receive payment and register operation
• Clean up after party, including trash, sweeping and mopping
•
Monitoring and straightening of Museum exhibits during and after parties
•
Assist in cleaning of Museum, including trash and “accidents”
•
Enforce Museum rules and guidelines
•
May be needed for crafts and craft preparation
• Ability to work with children
• Great customer service
• Good communication skills
• Must be able to lift heavy items and be on your feet for a few hours at a time
• Flexible attitude to working requirements to meet the needs of the Children’s Museum
Up to two days a week, Tuesday-Saturday
$12 to $17 per hour
Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional experience for our visitors. The customer service representative’s attitude greatly effects how the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum as a whole is perceived. As the customer service representative, you will oversee the smooth operation of visitor check-in and general play at the Museum.
• Open Children’s Museum by turning on exhibits and prepare register
• Greet visitors and check them in
• Complete daily reconciliation
• Enforce Museum rules
• Instructional and computer skills are helpful
• Restock the Gift Store, restroom paper goods, exhibits
• Be prepared for some janitorial and pick-up – it is a Children’s Museum.
• Be prepared for such duties as emptying trash and clean-up and the end of the day.
• Ability to work with children
• Great customer service
• Good communication skills
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
• Must be able to lift heavy items and be on your feet for a few hours at a time
• Flexible attitude to working requirements to meet the needs of the Children’s Museum
• Educational background preferred
