FAQ

What is the age range for the activities at the museum?
The exhibits target children ages 2 to 10, though many activities engage visitors of all ages.

Where can I park?
Free parking is available on the street in front of the museum. Parking is also available in the parking lot next to the museum.

Can I drop off my child and leave for the day?
No, all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

What should my child wear?
We recommend that you dress your children in casual play clothes. Most of our exhibits aren’t messy, but if your child plays in the Bubble Room or in the Great Outdoor Discovery Area, their clothes may get a little dirty.

Can we bring in outside food into the museum?
Yes! You are more than welcome to bring outside food, we just ask that you refrain from eating in our exhibit areas. The Dino Diner inside the museum is available for use and the Great Outdoor Discovery Area has picnic tables that can be used as an eating area.

Do you allow re-entry?
Yes! Feel free to leave for lunch and come back to the museum afterwards. We will stamp your child’s hand to confirm that you have already paid admission when you return to the museum.

Do you have a gift store?
Yes! We have a gift store with items as low as $1.00, including Northeast Texas Children’s Museum t-shirts for $12.00. All proceeds from purchases benefit the museum and its programs.
